The Youth Village

The Youth Village runs in parallel and in concert with the main conference programme. The purpose of the Youth Village is to create a vibrant space for the exchange and dissemination of sexual health and rights knowledge amongst the youth, with an emphasis on diversity and marginalised groups. Peer educators, influencers and artists are among the young people who will be bringing the village to life to the call of “Into the Fray: Provocations and Possibilities in Sexual Health”. Youth Village Sessions feature workshops, panel discussions, debates and presentations with opportunities for Q&A. The youth village stage is a space for interactive sessions that include live performances of dance and theatre and demonstrations of innovative and dynamic approaches to youth sexual health by young people. The Youth Village also includes exhibition tables showcasing the work of different youth sexual and reproductive health organizations/collectives and allows organisations to display materials and share their work, programming, resources and strategies. Funding the Youth Village goes to bringing youth from across the spectrum and area to the conference venue where they can engage for the day.
